What inspires you to vote? Your kids’ future? Because those before you fought hard for the right to do so? To amplify your voice? This past month, Babble and Michelle Obama teamed up on Pinterest to spread the word about why you — yes, you — vote. We asked readers to create Pinterest boards that explain their reasons, and the First Lady repinned the entries that spoke to her. The response was incredible.
In addition to creating these themed Pinterest boards, our bloggers penned compelling posts telling the world about what inspires them to vote. Ana Flores votes because she’s tired of hearing of budget cuts for education. Eliana Tardio votes for her children’s health. Buzz Bishop votes to immerse his kids in the process and because his choices today will affect their tomorrow. Faiqa votes because she must.
