Our summertime schedule has kept us hopping. I toted the kids to a bestie’s home last night where we indulged ourselves in a spontaeous family sleepover, simple because we were up too late making s’mores and letting the kids run wild in the woods to have any desire to go home. My son said to me around four ‘o clock in the afteroon today, “mom, my teeth are slimy. I guess brushing with my finger and a bit of toothpaste last night didn’t quite work.”
Is it wicked to admit I was ever-so-slightly delighted to discover he’d actually remembered to ATTEMPT to brush in the middle of our midnight chaos? Perhaps, but less than impressive, considering the way tooth brushing and proper mouth rinsing SHOULD be looking in my house.
