As I told y’all last week, I’ve decided to design a “dream” nursery and share the steps with you along the way. Basically, this will be a fun, imaginary gender-netural nursery that we can dream up together.
Each week, I’m going to present all of you with a few options for various nursery items and you guys get to vote on your favorite! I’ll tally up the votes each week and the winning item goes in the nursery design I’ll create in the form of a design mood board. Not familiar with the concept of a design mood board? Last week, you guys voted on which crib to place in our dream nursery. Excited for the results? Well, an astounding majority of you (just over 33% to be precise!) chose (drum roll please)…. Crib #4!

This week, it’s time to choose an area rug for our little nursery. I love rugs, as they can really help to ground and define a space. My home is all hardwood floors, so area rugs are a necessity for comfort. Got to keep those tootsies on plush flooring, right?! Even when there is already carpet in a room, I like a small area rug on top of the carpet, just for added texture and color.
Plus, who could say no to any of these adorable area rugs?! Whether made for children or adults, these playful, fun rugs would bring a punch of interest to any nursery!
