Moms Rising is one of my favorite organizations. And why not? Their tagline is “Where moms and people who love them go to change our world.” Day after day, more than one million moms band together to advance the issues that are most important to us as parents: paid maternity & paternity leave, health care for all, education, access to nutritious food… Basically, if it’s an issue you care about and it’s related to parenting, Moms Rising is on the case. (Full disclosure: it’s been a while, but I’ve blogged for them, as a volunteer.)
Every year around this time, Moms Rising releases a new, customizable Mother’s Day video e-card. Past favorites include “Mom of the Year,” which was topped by “Mother of the Decade” a year or two later. Last year’s took the form of a movie trailer.
